Lilian Liundi, a renowned activist well-grounded in feminist-centered issues, is the Executive Director of TGNP Mtandao, Tanzania’s leading women’s rights organization and a major voice for women’s rights, gender equality/equity and social justice in Tanzania and beyond. Lilian has led TGNP since 1st of December 2014 when she was appointed ED. She has held numerous positions within TGNP ever since she joined the organization in 2003 including Head of Program Information Generation and dissemination as well as Acting ED. She holds Masters of Arts in International Communication Management with Post graduate Diploma in Computer Science and Bachelor of Library and Information Science. She has extensive experience in community mobilization, organizing and movement building, policy analysis and advocacy, communication strategies development and implementation as well as information management. With a background in documentation, communications and technology, Lilian Liundi began her career as Librarian at the National Central Library and later moved to the National Commission for Science where she was a database administrator and she then the Independent Television of Tanzania (ITV) as the head of library and documentation unit. She is currently a member of The Eastern African Sub-regional Support Initiative for the Advancement of Women (EASSI) board. Ms. Liundi coordinated the Tanzania Country Barometer report.
