Brenda Aromorach

Brenda Aromorach is the Project Assistant of the Eastern African Sub-Regional Support Initiative for the Advancement of Women (EASSI) at Elegu/Nimule Border. She has 5 years of working experience in the field of Gender, advocacy, and lobbying, Leadership, and governance.
Brenda worked with Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE) for 3 years as a field officer from 2018 to 2021 based in Gulu District where she handled Women Economic Empowerment, Leadership, Gender-responsive budgeting, Gender-Based Violence prevention, and Response. She worked with Comboni Samaritan Gulu for 2 years as project Assistant before joining FOWODE in 2018.

She holds a Bachelor Degree in Arts in Social Science (BASS) with a major in Gender studies from Makerere University from 2012 to 2015. She was also awarded a post-graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management (PPM) from Gulu University in 2021. She is currently pursuing a post-graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute (UMI).

She has attained training in transformative leadership, Gender Mainstreaming, Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence, Human Rights and good governance, project monitoring and evaluation, prevention and response to violence against children, mobilization, youth participation, and inclusiveness.
While at Makerere University, Brenda served as President School of Women and Gender studies 2014/2015 (SWGS) and Administrative Board Representative at College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS).
